Can a can recycle itself? Yes it can. Only it would take some 50 years.

Saw this video on Discovery this morning and I was mesmerised:

Online Depression Quiz

While browsing today I stumbled upon Psych Central website that, as far as I know, is designed to inform general public about their mental health or the lack of.

My personal situation has made me question my mental health lately. Now, I don't think I have gone insane, no, I'm just as crazy as I ever was, no changes there - but I do feel a wee bit more blue than usual. Not enough to do anything about it and definitely not enough to contact a health care professional... enough however to take an online depression quiz on the Psych Central website.

Birds Eye's Creepy Polar Bear

I saw this ad on TV few weeks back and I couldn't figure out why I was so uncomfortable watching it. I don't think I would mind having a cute polar bear in my freezer. So why is it so creepy?

Lets tranquillise some sheep

I stumbled upon this sheep tranquillising reaction meter today:

Silly Facebook Apps

There is a Facebook app that I spotted on my friends page and it pulls out statistics about people - imaginary I guess. But still it made me laugh:

Bank Zachodni WBK Bank Advertisments - witty, fun and all stars

A note on friend's Facebook pointed me to Bank Zachodni WBK's advertisments. This is a Polish bank that once has decided to use well known actors to promote it - which I would have probably known if I was still living there, but instead a French man visiting Poland for holidays made me aware of the BZ WBK ads. I googled them and had real fun watching them, I thought it is a bit of a shame that it only can be appreciated in full by the Polish, so I'm posting them here with transcripts, translated where needed.

Yeti, machete, poison confetti - work of Nathan W Pyle

I can't remember where I saw his work first, but I followed the links and found Nathan W Pyle's blog with some of the funniest posters I have seen in a while. They're witty, smart and to the point and it's just the kind of tongue-in-cheek humour I love.

I guess my favourite of all is the Danger Quiz, the "Yeti, machete, poison confetti" is going to be in my mind forever:

Plus Dur, Meilleur, Plus Rapide, Plus Fort

I bookmarked this video and then forgot all about it.

Canada Day on WikiHow

This caught my eye on my iGoogle page on Canada Day:

Drupal Table Crashed! What now? Repair instructions.

I have accidentally crashed my node_revisions table while I was updating an old post today. The error message was huge and at first I panicked... but since I have listened to my own advice I have a backup of my database so it wasn't that bad. Still, restoring a database this large is tedious and, in most cases, unnecessary.

How to align embedded YouTube video with the rest of the article - Short Tip.

I have noticed before that on many websites that have embeded YouTube video the frame seems to never align properly. While this is something that annoys me, I always thought it's due to ignorance or indifference of the blog and website owners and put up with it.
